The Most Beautiful Field is White and Ready to Harvest

This is going to be a short update, as we spent all of our preparation day today hiking in Mount Jiri National Park, and it has left me very fulfilled, but tired. That being said, I would be remiss to slouch out on an opportunity to update you with pictures and news from my new area!

First of all, the members of this branch are incredible. It is a much larger branch with more active worthy priesthood holders than my previous exposure to serving in a countryside branch, being Gimje. We have already had opportunities to serve the members twice, which involved helping one member move, and the other harvest sweet potatoes! This is in addition to a couple member meals, and I was only serving in my area for 3 full days this week!

We also have some visitors to our branch for the next few weeks! A family from Utah will be saying in 남원 (Namwon) for a couple months for part vacation/part taking care of a newborn around family, as this is the mothers hometown. We will get to teach an english primary class for this family, which is a surreal and very cute experience

I also got to go on an exchange with my trainer 이현호 (Lee Hyonjo) in Jeonju! It was a strange exchange, as it was the day after transfers, and all 4 of the people serving in the relatively large city were new to the area. But Elder 이현호 (Lee Hyonho) was actually the person I replaced in 남원 (Namwon), so I was able to steal all the information he gathered during his 3 transfer stay.

My new companion, Elder Idiart, is awesome.  He's a Korean genius, and I'm excited to learn from him.

Also to explain the title, it is rice harvesting season right now, so the harvests are quite literally ready to harvest, even if they are more gold than white haha

I'm sure there is more to be said, and I will try to say it next week, but I am going to catch some zzz's. We are travelling to Daejeon tomorrow which requires taking a 6am bus! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
