Surprise Num-chuks This was a great week. I love this area. Here is a list of the important things we did this week to further the work in 수지 와드 (Suji Ward). We have a  schedule to call members every day  for the next two weeks to get to know them. It's going well so far, but there are more than 150 attending members, so we still have a while to go 구본원 형제님 (Brother Ko Bonwon), who had blocked the missionaries previously, met us 4 times this week. His struggle with autism makes it hard for him to make decisions, but  he knows the Book of Mormon is true , and I see him being baptized soon. 4 of our teaching friends have some great potential. However, they are all very stagnant. They have been meeting missionaries for months with little progression. We need to find fresh people. So,  we are covering every finding source we know at full speed. Elder Williams is not confident in his Korean and teaching skills, and seeing how he has only been in the country for 4 months, I...

When the AP's Come A'Callin... This week was JAM PACKED with crazy crazy adventures, so buckle up!! I hope to be very compact here, so here it goes: I went on an exchange with a trainee who serves in Jeonju. His Korean skill is far and away the best I have ever heard out of a missionary in training, and I am excited to see how he develops in the future. But that's probably not what I will remember most about this week because... I received a call from the AP elders late Thursday morning and was informed I have been called to serve in the mission office. I was also informed that I needed to be on the exact opposite side of the mission in exactly 24 hours, which is a day before transfer calls and a whole week before transfers. Also, I was in charge of my travel plans. After a few moments of freaking out with my companion, we proceeded to the following activities: In a mad dash to meet as many people as possible, we met two of my favorite friends for dinner and a few others as...

I Am Violently Allergic to Kiwi  Wow! It's the first update from 2023! That is wild, but not as wild as the last two weeks have actually been! Here is a brief report of the interesting parts of missionary work in Namwon. I vomited all over the floor  at the house of one of our friends on New Year's Eve. Turns out I'm allergic to kiwi! But all is well, we were forgiven, and we were still able to give him a copy of the Book of Mormon with my brother's testimony written on the inside cover. Our branch is crazy about missionary work.  After giving every member a calling that justifies them participating in missionary council meetings, they moved said meeting to after church every week with the whole branch. We then spent a full hour and a half discussing missionary work, and setting a crazy high goal of 10 people. I couldn't hope for anything more. New missionary rule has come down from above:  no music  except that found in Gospel Library. Fortunately there is some...
