 TEMPLE!!

This week was huge, and many exciting things happened, but I am going to bullet point it again this week to keep it focused.

We went to the BYU ambassadors event this week! We went with our recent converts. It was a bit sad listening to music that I miss, particularly  the Beatles arrangement as it reminded me how much I miss and love my dad. But they ended the event by playing Dynamite by BTS, and after applause and right before they finished, they played a traditional Korean song titled 아리랑 (A Ri Rang). The evening finished with me realizing how much I have come to love this country, its people, and it's music.

We are still meeting strange 신천지 (Shin Cheon Ji) people. More have been calling us and meeting us, and it sucks that these people really have no interest in our message, but I have been taking it as good practice on how to act when we really do find that golden individual.

Our zone had a picnic together at the National Korean Cemetery. It was fun.

We also have a new sister serving in Daejeon 1st ward with us! They are now in a trio for these last 2 weeks. Her name is Sister 김민경 (Kim Min-Kyung). We served together in 김제 (GimJe) and she is a valuable resource.

I got to go to the temple on Saturday with our recent converts! Only 2 of the 3 recent converts in our ward were able to go which made me sad, but the two that could come had a phenomenal time. There were a couple of other recent converts and missionaries that came with us, and due to covid numbers are limited, but I was fortunate enough to be able to go in with the member that I taught and baptized, and the spirit was so incredibly strong. It has been about 8 months since I have been able to go into a temple, and I had missed it more than I realized. The moment I entered it I felt like I had returned home. Our converts were able to feel that same spirit for the first time as well, and I was so glad to help them recognize it, and see the light in their eyes.

Have a wonderful week everybody! 화이팅! (Hwa Yi Ting - Go for it!)
