This week was busy and adventurous!
We have been able to meet individuals in every flavor recently. From American english teachers, to Muslim university students, to Korean nuclear researchers, it astounds me how many people the Lord is able to gather in one city and let us interact with.
This week was also Stake Conference! We missed the priesthood session due to having a lesson that went long, but the two sessions I was able to attend were really wonderful, and also really great opportunities to meet members from other wards as well as people from our ward who have been attending on Zoom! That, and one of our recent converts was sustained to receive the Melchizedek priesthood! 4 people were sustained, and 2 of them were recent converts! In just the past 4 months, more people have been baptized in this stake than in the entire last year combined, and I can really feel the spiritual momentum building as we pick up off the Covid season
That Sunday was also Easter, and we spent the entire day in other people's homes. We were able to celebrate the birthday of a teaching friend with two of our recent converts, as well as have dinner with the stake president. Both of these opportunities were really special experiences, and it felt wonderful to be able to love people on every step of the covenant path and share with them the message that He lives!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter season. Here in Korea, there are no eggs nor bunnies nor jellybeans, and it was another wonderful opportunity to remember that the whole reason this holiday exists is because our Lord Jesus Christ conquered death. Keep that season in your heart for a bit longer though, because we still have major events in the easter timeline to hit, such as Jesus coming to instruct his disciples after his resurrection! That, and the spirit of the resurrection of Jesus Christ brings such power into your life -- to resist temptation, to feel peace in hard times, to help others, and to grow closer to God -- that there is no need to ever let it go!
I hope you all have a fabulous week!
