March 7, 2022 - Daejeon

This is going to be a short one, because we have lights out in 15 minutes, but I would be a fool to miss an update on this week's adventures!

Yesterday we had the joyous experience of baptizing Sister 길가영 (Gil Ga-Young), and it was a phenomenal and busy week full of teaching her, preparing her for her baptism, and introducing her to members! At this point in the process we basically have to pass her off to the ward, and they are doing a phenomenal job giving her the fellowship she needs. I love this ward!

Everything is going well, and while our finding has been lower than usual these past two weeks, that is because we have had our hands full with some phenomenal individuals we get the pleasure of teaching about Jesus Christ. My testimony of the power of Jesus Christ has grown so much as we have involved him in our work.

This week had many other antics, including MLC, transfers, and an exchange with Elder Pestana! He is a new Elder who served his first transfer in Texas and just barely finished his second transfer here in Korea. He is a phenomenal Elder and I had a lot I could learn from him, but I also had the wonderful opportunity to share with him many of the things I have learned during my time in Korea. I have been on the receiving end of help from fellow missionaries so much during my time here, but it felt equally rewarding to show someone else how great a missionary they are. That is what this church is meant for: to lift each other up.

Alright that's all I have time for. Have a fantastic week you all!

Elder Wardle

Editor's Additions: They are back to in-person church after a month or so of meeting virtually, which is so much better!  He is teaching several people including a young man from Vietnam, a Phillipino, a few Koreans and a man from South Africa. The language is slowly getting better, and he's doing really well!
